Kimono Like Top

I was researching a few supersize clothing stores last night and fell in love with this Ansley blouse at Making it Big.

They have a different sizing system over there. The blouse is available in sizes E - K which according to their size chart translates to 2X - 8X. This blouse has a kimono-ish look to it which I love. And it's a fabulous color.

A great cut for fall and is one of those styles that would work equally well with a pair of jeans or career pants. It is available for $89.

Power of Three

I have always had a particular fondness for the clothing at Addition-Elle, even long after I stopped working there. This week they have an online special of buy one, get the second 50% off; along with $6 shipping in the U.S. and Canada. No coupons required!

My top three items this afternoon are:

Long Sleeveless Cardigan - In black. Open with a pair of dress pants or closed and belted with a wide belt and a pair of jeans. I'm thinking white shirt underneath. It comes in sizes X - 4X for $69.99 (buy one, get the second 50% off).

The Hot Color

Yellow dresses became the hot color on the red carpet at the Emmy's this weekend but not everyone can wear it. I'm one of those people. If you are one of those people but love bright and sunny then you will probably love this bag as much as I do.

Forget the Polka Dot Bikini

You all know how I absolutely love polka dots. It must be some childhood fetish that has clung to my adulthood. Polka Dot Door anyone? Here is an absolutely fabulous Polka Dot swimsuit from Always for Me.

Specifically, Ocho Rios Twist One Piece Bandeau, which seems like a bit of a long ugly title for such a gorgeous swimsuit. Having the irregular placed spots doesn't make the eyes go all googly.

This suit has a tummy minimizer, waist minimizer, and breast enhancer (does that only sound funny to me). It comes in sizes 16 - 26 for $79.

Georgette Blouse from Igigi

I've been waiting for over a week to tell you about this Georgette blouse from Igigi because it wasn't available to order yet. Well, now it's available.

Even looking at this blouse just makes me feel pretty. Ruffles, variated floral pattern on black is perfect for grey or black dress pants/skirt.

Very classy for the office followed by a dinner out. It is available in sizes 12 - 30 for $62.

Motorcycle Vest

I could totally see myself wearing this motorcycle vest while I'm comfortably snuggled on the back of one of Keanu Reeves' hogs. A girl can dream can't she?

But seriously, this vest rocks.

It is part of Macy's INC International Concepts® collection; and of course, since I'm mentioning it, it is plus size. It comes in sizes 0X - 3X. Based on the price, $208, I'm assuming it's real leather.

Pirate Boots

It's a little over a month before Halloween but I just can't help thinking about costumes. And when I saw these boots the first thing that came to mind was pirates. ARR!

Of course these boots from Zappos would be great for any scalawag wanting to go clubbing or to dress up a pair of leggings or skinny jeans.

These Gabriella Rocha Marie boots are medium width, sizes 5 - 10. The cuffs can been worn up like shown, or down. They are shown at right in black leather but are also available in coco. They are sale for $108.

Water Color Swimsuit

Can a swimsuit be a work of art? If yes, then this is it. And it's from Lane Bryant. I was updating my swimsuit lens and was surprised to see that LB has updated their swimsuit line. A bit pricey but absolutely lovely.

This Watercolor Sarong Swimdress is made with beautiful hues. I could look at it all day. Click on the link below to see the cool H-back style. It looks like it would a bit of extra support for those with a heavier chest. They are calling it an "online exclusive".

Two Piece Tankini

I know it's a bit colder but for those of us who think about indoor swimming in the colder months, looking at swimsuits doesn't seem so silly. I found this cute and functional two piece swimsuit at Jessica London. And it's on sale!

The Two-Piece Jogger Swimsuit is tankini styling with a pull on short instead of a brief for those of us who don't like to bare our upper thighs. The top has an interesting pattern that doesn't make your eyes go all crazy because it's multi-directional. It comes in sizes 14 - 26 for $34.99 (regular $69.99).

Goddess Dress

If it has anything to do with the "goddess" chances are I'll take a closer look. I believe every woman needs to find her inner goddess and there's no better way to start than through clothes. Today's fave bears that in mind.

This Goddess Dress is by Abby Z. (I think that might even be her modelling it). This is a new take on a popular design for them. I love the chocolate color and the beaded detailing. It is available in sizes 14 - 24 (they say it fits snug around the chest so order up) for $188.

Dragon Coat

I've always enjoyed Asian inspired clothing so it is not a surprise to me that it was love at first sight when I saw this "sexy, seductive and slightly see-through" Dragon Coat from plus size lingerie retailer, Hips & Curves.

This sheer mesh is covered in a dragon print. The bell sleeves add to the mystery of this piece. They currently only offer queen size which fits 14 - 20.

Of course it's marketed as lingerie but couldn't you see this over a pair of black dress pants and cami? Maybe some boots. I mean if people can wear their bras and bustiers in public, why not this Dragon Coat.

Igigi Goes Retro

Igigi's new fall collection is out and it is so hot. They are celebrating the best styles of our past: the tailored suits from the fifties, the bohemian freedom of the sixties, the color blocks of the seventies, the geometric eighties, and the minimalism of the nineties .

Here are my top three items from this new collection:

Tara Scoop Neck Top - This top is shown in "brick" but also comes in plum. It comes in sizes 12 - 32 for $42. It is great on it's own or as a layering piece; like under their new Dietrich Tailored Jacket.
Alexis Tailored Dress in Gray Herringbone - Gray is such an classy and underestimated color. It is an amazing base for suiting and highlights accessories well. This dress comes in sizes 12 - 32 for $142. It also comes in classic black.

Trumpet Skirt in Black - I absolutely love this skirt. It's figure hugging but not streamlined. A bit playful without being too sexy for the office. It comes in sizes 12 - 30 for $65.
